That's a very powerful message. There are quite a few players who have hesitated to join a guild. Heck, I was never a "guild type" until Guild Wars! I really appreciate your thoughts!

-The comendation rewards sytem. I hated having to spend 2k on expert salvage kits.
-Pongmei valley is gorgeous.
-Harder missions.
-Shadow arts; teleporting is an absolute blast.
-The weapons are rediculously cool.
-It's been said alot, but the armor is sweet. I think 1.5k Canthan Armor for elementalists is better looking than any of their 15k armor in Prophesies.
-Nerfing solo farming. Farming is OK in groups, I'd say it's even part of the game. Farming by yourself is the height of lamedom.
-Mini-pets. Tobias's birthday is in July and I can't wait.
-Basically the game is all kinds of awesome.

One complaint, and only because I know Gaile is looking at this thread. Something has to be done about Henchies getting stuck behind Canthan peasent NCPs standing in a circle. I've been thoroughly routed several times because I didn't notice that my healer hench was stuck back a couple blocks. Even when I do notice it, getting them out isn't easy. You have to sort of wedge them out, coax them, beg them...it needs to be fixed.

I have to agree with all the posative notes from players here and cant really add much to that list.

One thing I would add is that I am eternally gratfull for and that was my collectors edition arriving in the post on friday morning!... I had a very restless night thursday night followed by the best day of the year for me so far!

Also I would add that I am seeing alot of old friends back and enjoying Factions ALOT, as a Guild Leader this is something to be truly thankfull for.

Thumbs up, Cant wait for C3

There has been many many enhancements and changes to the games that I love, too many to post but thank you for your hard work and making a game that I love to play that offer's many styles of play and no montly fee.

Despite my mood and situation you have me for C3 CE as well.

I do like the fast past to lvl 20 and having more game that's post lvl 20 > content stands out atm.

The landscapes are very easy on the eyes.
The pets were amusing.
Accelerated progression to L20 is appreciated.
Skill points instead of fixed skills as quest rewards is an improvement.
Easier acqusition of skill points is great.
NPCs in Guild Halls are convenient.
Guild scrimmage is great fun.

I... love... everything. It's like a White Castle hamburger, slips down smooth and easy. This game... is amazing. Please make Ch3 like a jumbo hamburger. If that makes any sense. >.>

There are a zillion things to like about this chapter - kudos to the artists, devs and designers!
Apart from all the things people have already mentioned, I really like the way the whole 'mechanics' have been improved in terms of: the starting area, getting to full stat armor, the fact that the entire mainland is 'high' level, etc, etc. Clearly, some of the awkward aspects of GW:P were re-considered.
The artwork for items and areas is great. The urban areas were totally unexpected, but great.
If we can expect such a high quality product every 6 months, I'll keep buying chapters as long as they produce them...

So far the only thing I am pleased with is better mods. The rest is either tolerable or intolerable.

armour - great
weapons - great
having to grind through every mission for every character you make - terrible, theses missions do get boring and im so glad i could skip a few in prophecies

The new armor is good, the new classes are fun, the graphics are amazing, the new skills make for some interesting builds. Overall this is one of the greatest games of all time in my opinion and unlike most sequels better than the original. The replayability and end game remain to be seen (I simply haven't made it that far yet in PVE). The new missions are intense and fun. One thing that makes GW stand out from all the RPGs of the day is the triggered events: the ninjas dropping in from above via rope, the afflicted jumping out of holes in the ground, etc... This makes the game much more fun that WoW, EQ, etc... in my opinion (where the monsters / npcs simply wander around aimlessly and have very poor AI).

So thank you anet for making a revolutionary game that is not only one of the most fun games on the market but also has no monthly fee and doesn't require long hours of huge 75 party raids to farm armor / weapons.

  • Day of the Tengu - awesome idea.
  • the new "Toys" - can't wait to get one.
  • Little things, like the new Necro scars and the Elementalist energy swirl.
  • Elites being available sooner. Nice job!
  • More Gold and easier to get Bags and Runes of Holding, Superior Salvage and ID Kits - so much better that pre-searing!

  • Finally: Factions! Nice to finally play the game after all the hype.

The Kurzick / Luxon faction reward of Amber or Jadeite. This will turn into a steady way of income for me. Even though the prices will probably drop to around 300-400 per piece. There will always be people wanting to craft 15k armor, so there will always be a market for the armor.

This way makes 15k actually affordable. I can actually see myself acquiring 15k armor (if only 1 set) for the first time since Guild Wars was released. As a casual player, I play for fun, or help guildies, so acquiring a lot of gold has been difficult for me. Now I can actually afford it.

I can have fun doing Alliance battles and make money from the faction reward. A very nice combination.

Thanks ANET

I have no rants, it's a great game. I love the evolution and integration with Factions.

I'm just wary about possible future monthly payments and having to read between the lines in news articles on guildwars.com.
